    Hi All,

I am going to upgrade my car at some stage this year once lockdown is over, I have no idea about cars but I do like the Kia Sportage and Nissan Quahqai and have always loved the Mazda 6 but a friend of mine warned me off them.

I am coming from a 08 Volvo S40 and budget is going to be about 12-13k, any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Main use will be small commutes once back in the office and I have kids

I have made a filtered thread for you from donedeal.
Anything there you like the look of?
    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars?source=trade&verifications=nct&bodyType=SUV&bodyType=Estate&price_to=13000
On the left side you can add more filters like fuel type, county etc

Does the 12-13k budget include what you get for the S40 as a trade in or is it on top of what you get for the S40?

Also define small commute? How old are the kids and how many? The more specific information you can provide the more relevant a recommendation you will get.

12-13K plus what I would get with my S40 (i doubt very much)
Small commute is like a 7-8minute drive every day

    3 kids ranging from 11-18

How does the S40 cope size wise?

Would there be 5 in the car often?

The S40 wouldn’t be a bit car inside either.

For your driving I’d certainly be looking at petrol and for the budget I’m thinking that the crossover class below the Sportage (think Captur, T-Roc, Stonic, Kona, CH-R, Juke, Arona) might give you a more modern car for your budget
