Just registered my car today, happy days! However I’m planning to appeal which OSMP do I use? The first one or the current OSMP, I see two OSMP.

I could be wrong, I may not have grounds to appeal, the current OSMP is way lower that what the car is sold for in Ireland, its over 3k lower. Does that mean you can only appeal if it’s over the current OSMP?

Why exactly are you appealing if the OMSP was lower than what it actually is? Is it because of the new VRT rates?

Do you want to pay more VRT or something?

Gosh no haha, I was charged €300 more than the initial quote on Revenue, wasn’t expecting that. I’m what you call a cheapskate but having read all the threads and advice here and online. I now know I cannot appeal. Thanks everyone

I would say that maybe the increase is down to the new WLTP bands.

    You’re lucky it’s only €300
