    I'm looking to upgrade.
Currently driving 2013 astra diesel 1.7 estate 250k kilometres

Looking to upgrade to a 2018, any ideas. Will be driving (after Covid) 100 miles a day to work, will need to pull a trailer an odd time as well

Would like something comfortable and reliable

Have 15 k to spend plus whatever my car is worth

There is nothing in your post to indicate what cars you like.

This is a filtered link, see anything you like?

Skoda Octavia 2lt diesel estate 150bhp would be my call.

Not really big into cars, important that it would be reliable for a good few number of years, and be competitively priced, maybe something like a hyundai I40 or a Skoda, VW Jetta

    I'm open to suggestions

What about something like a Ford Kuga, especially if you'll be towing ?

2016 Octavia estate here for the last 12 months. Its has great for the kids, but it kinda stops there. We bought it from a main dealer. Within the first couple of weeks it started acting up. Has 90k km on it. Started making a funny noise and hard to get in reverse at times also. Timing belt tensioner pulley bearing gone, so a new timing kit had to go in. Also they had to put a new clutch pack in it as well. Has been ok since but has done dam all driving with Covid and working from home. To be fair the main dealer were good about it and extended the warranty by a further 6 months. It probably was just one of those things and hopfully it will be ok now.

Sounds like regular maintenance to me.

I am no mechanic here but they are fairly hefty items to do on a 4 year old car with 80k km on the clock.
