East coast FM and Classic Hits every evening. I think it's ridiculous especially when both stations are targeting the same demographic.

Cost. Ad revenue and sponsorship is through the floor at the moment.

Neither show is live so probably takes at most 2-3 hours to put together an entire week's worth of shows on both stations (20+ hours of programming).

They both also run "Club Classics" on Friday and Saturday evenings, near identical playlist, completely automated, no presenter.

Don’t they have the same owners? 4FM, Sunshine & Eastcoast, the audience for radio at night is very small I don’t see a problem.

One time radio stations wanted the listener to be unaware that a program was voicetracked.
