Driving licence question

    Just a question for my curiosity.


    My father recently renewed his licence and he got it back with a full A class restricted to tricycles.


    It seems very strange to me as he has never held that class of licence before.



    Just wondering does anyone know what happened?

    Probably had his since the time that those were thrown in with a car licence.
    Nothing out of the ordinary he never ticked it and they added it to the renewed licence.
    Same happened to me with tractor never ticked it but was added to my full when I got it, lady in ndls did the same for be when I got my bike permit. Just ticked it for me on the system and told me after she'd done it.

    I got a lorry licence a few years back with my car licence but have never driven a lorry

    Tricycles were added to all licences some time ago.

    If you have cat B license you get it automatically, just like the W licence (tractors, commonly known as work vehicles).
