    Hi,

Not sure if this is the right thread,

I want to get some info on how land to build works.

If we buy a land and want to build a house, how mortgage works for it? do we need to keep full cash for building or banks can give based on builder's estimation?

You'd be looking at a self build mortgage which will be paid in tranches when certain parts of the house are completed.

Be careful with the land. There has to be a local housing need (or however it's worded) ie you or your partner have to be from the area to build a house.

    Hello all
Is it easy to build a house on land from
    Scratch?
    Is it expensive?
I want to understand how mortgage system works for this?
Will banks approve for land and building too?
