small claims court or not

    Hi all,

Had a flat rear tyre last week fixed by local tyre shop. We agreed on the next day, that both rear tyres will be replaced as they were quite old (june 2013).
Had to go to dentist, so my wife drove the car to the tyre shop. Got a call later from them, that they moved the rear wheels with the new tyres to the front, as it is safer to have the new ones there, as the originals in front were older as well (dec 2016 4mm thread). And that they moved the front tyres to the rear axle. This was explained to my wife as well.

Next day I found out that the new tyres were in front as they have said, but the rear axle has one tyre from the front axle (2016) and one tyre is the original old one (2013) that supposed to be replaced. That was at Christmas, so shop was closed until today. I tried to resolve this with them, mistakes can be made but when confronted today, they said that tyres were replaced, new in front and front (2016) moved to rear. They would not look at the car today to see in fact that one tyre was not replaced at all. Reasoning was that my wife collected the car, got the receipt at thats it.

I have some pics of my car with the old tyres and receipt from them that says "back to front needs 2 more tyres+tracking".
Would this have any chance in small court?
I am planning to do a formal complain first.
    Thanks for any suggestions
