I see lots local farmers spreading farmyard manure over the Christmas period. Isn't it supposed to be closed until mid January?

    Could be dairy washings

Is there a closed period for all farmyard manure? I thought it was only slurry...

And no, I wasn't spreading any anyway.....

The only thing allowed is parlour washings, dung and slurry are stopped till Jan 13? And later depending on what part of the country you're in.

Probably with the link box & grape. Between a bit of physical exercise &mental health,it's hard to beat the fresh air these days. (& as Arthur Daly used to say, getting away from "her indoors " would do no harm at all)

Passing in the road today and saw FYM spread in a low lying field alongside a lake 🙄
Some lads aren’t even clever about it.

I wouldn't be so sure, a few locals at it over the last two weeks, full slurry, it seems they aren't getting enough grants to run their business without breaking the rules, I'd love to know where the satellites are pointing!

I would love to have land where a week of dry weather would allow spreading.

If it stops raining now we might be able to spread when window opens.....😅
