Can a landowner dictate to a tenant what the tenant can and can’t do with the land.
I am neither the landowner nor the tenant, but was party to a conversation on the subject.

There should be a contract that may stipulate what they can and can’t do

E.g overwintering may be prohibitited or subletting for horses etc.

    Thanks for your response.

I think therein lies part of the issue..........too loose an arrangement.......no formal contract in place.
