Algae growth spraying

Afternoon all,
There is some greening appearing on a few walls outside, even though house was sprayed and painted two years ago.
It's not too bad yet but better do something sooner than later.
I was thinking to get a fungicide and use the power washer (fill barrel mix chemical) to hose down the whole house
Anyone try that before?
Any recommendations for chemicals?

I think most are sprayed with a back pack sprayer or hand held. And left to do their job. You then pressure wash afterwards.

Not sure how effective it would be blasted on with a pressure washer solely. Wouldn't give it time to work.

I'd be wetting the walls with spray and leaving it.
I would not be washing the walls per say just using the power washer instead of a knapsack

The power washer will deliver far too much liquid.
On painter surfaces you need to be careful.

I use chlorus on paths etc, 10% dilution with a knapsack that cost 16 euros

There was a thread on this recently, IIRC use C.J Haughey uses different stuff

Hypochloride put on with back pack sprayer. Leave for 48 hours. Powerwash then if you think its necessary

Hypochlorite is basically bleach, it will kill the algae but there is no residual action.
The stuff I use is BAC or DDAC
Both go on and dry in and the effect lasts for months afterwards.

I was recommended Mmc pro cleaner. Tried it a month ago and did great job on algae

Same active ingredient ,DDAC =didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, its a type of ammonium salt.

Hose area, apply thick bleach and brush in. Leave it over night and hose. It'll be all gone.

As fred funk said. Or wait for a dry day and spray on a half and half mixture of bleach and water. Leave it a couple of hours and hose (regular hose should do it) down. Lots of previous threads in this forum on it. Many people think that the house needs repainting when they see this "green" stuff on the walls. Common bleach costs very little in Tesco or the like and extends the clean look of your outside paint.

Similar to DDAC in effect. but its way cheaper to buy concentrated BAC/DDAC and make it up yourself that stuff is <10% BAC.
With either of these chemicals I have to stress that goggles should be worn its very dangerous to eyes.
Not safety glasses but actual goggles.
