    Hi all,
My 28 day retest period falls within the christmas shut down. I had mistakenly thought the centres were open between christmas and new years. I realise I'm an idiot for not sorting it before now, i was busy leading up to christmas! The car only failed for a visual so didnt need to book a date, just had to turn up. Guess I'm goosed and need to pay for a full retest?? 🥺

Does anyone know if the centres always close for such a long period or is this perhaps due to covid level 5 etc?

Cheers and happy Christmas to ye all.
    John

Are they not giving people 6 weeks to retest at the minute? I know the cert still says "retest within 28 days" on the heading but the actual date confirmed is 6 weeks away, but i think i came across a fail last week that had 6 weeks to retest.

I could be miles away here but worth double checking, pretty sure i seen it. I dont see it mentioned on the NCT website Covid FAQ's though.

Just check the printed retest date on your fail report.

I'm an idiot. Found the report and im good till the 10th Jan.
Incorrectly assumed it just stated 28 days.

Thanks. Hopefully this thread can be closed to save further embarrassment
