Merry Christmas! (2020 -> 2021)

Firstly, best wishes to all forum contributors for Christmas and into 2021. It has been a year like no other and hopefully we can look forward to much brighter days next year.

It's been a busy year on the forum, with the major starts on the N5 in Mayo and the N22 in Cork, along with Dunkettle moving into full construction

With the above ongoing, we can expect to see the following schemes open in 2021:

N4 Collooney-Castlebaldwin
M7 Naas/Newbridge J9A + Sallins bypass
N56 Mountcharles-Inver

and construction to commence on the following:

N3 Snugborough Interchange
N5 Ballaghaderreen-Scramoge
N59 Moycullen bypass
N69 Listowel bypass
N86 Tralee-Dingle Phase 2

along with many minor schemes nationwide.

It'll be a busy year on the forum next year, with 20+ schemes in various stages of planning with many routes to be decided upon next year. 2021 also will see the revamped National Development Plan published which should give clarity on funding for roads schemes upto 2025.

Thanks to each and every user who made contributions to the forum in 2021, especially those who took time to take photos and drone shots of the work underway on the various schemes in 2021.
