Family member at home has Covid, positive result on Monday. Past 2 days have been hectic.

I have been working from home Monday and Tuesday as normal as possible. Original plan was to take my 4 days holidays over the Xmas/New Year.

Now the penny has dropped that I could take the 2 week illness payment.

Does this go 14 days from when you are told to isolate or when you apply. Looks like I need a doctors cert so chance of getting that between now and Xmas is next to nothing.

Anyone know what the process is? I would love to claw back the 2 days Ive worked this week and use them in the new year but doubt work will let me.

What is the process and is it another convoluting revenue process?

    Hi,

I emailed my doctor and got my husband's cert sent electronically to the relevant department. After that, it has been odd. Payment should be from 21st Dec onwards, the cert states 26th Dec for two weeks. He was awarded 116.67, which should be 350. Still waiting to hear why. And it was dated from Jan 2nd. Which makes no sense. Oh, and he hasn't actually received that money just online states he has been awarded it.
I hope it worked out for you.
