Hi. A family member went for a mortgage in the last 12mts. The mortgage offer fell through in the end. Today she got a lot of emails which seemed to be from her broker with attachments which includes lots of emails between her broker and the mortgage provider. These emails would of had personal details she had sent her broker.
She rang text and emailed the broker but he didn't answer. As the emails looked like the deal was back on.
She now realized the emails are bogus but is worried about her personal information. As said broker has not contacted her back. So what should she do

Contact the Data Commissioners office and report the broker. Also, possibly call the Central Bank as the counrty's financial regulator. Then, consider whether any of the documents had bank account details, credit card info i.e. personal address,a/c numbers, amounts passing through.Decide whether to advise each company of the breach for safeguarding
