Advice on roof leak repair

Hi guys, We have a flat roof extension with torch-on felt that is leaking from all the recent heavy rain. Checked it over the weekend and found that one of the strips of felt has debonded (?) where it overlaps and underneath is soaking wet.

I tried Evo-Stik Roof & Gutter Sealant, Evo-Stik Multi Purpose Silicone and finally Bostik Rito All Weather Emergency Repair Sealant. None of them will bond the felt together and just sloughed off in big sticky strips the next day. Even the Bostik product which states it can bond to wet surfaces.

Has anyone used any of the Tec7 products to seal a felt roof before? Or any recommendations for products easily accessible to non-tradespeople?

did you clean all the surfaces to get rid of all the gunk first?

I have used the RITO product last week and it is bone dry

I cleaned off all the crap, dried off the surface water and brushed it on, twice.

The other point is that if you put the sealer under the top layer, you will create a ridge for water to lodge on.

Yeah I cleaned it off as best I could. I wasn't able to dry the underside of the overlap. It's pretty wet where the two pieces of felt join. I was using the squeezable gun type Rito in a long tube. It just wouldn't stick to the roof. Saying that, there is a layer of Silver Shield solar paint on the felt which might interfere with it. But, I had applied the Rito under the join and it hasn't stuck at all

I would have started with the Tec7, it contains bitumen and glass fibres, goes on surprisingly easy (the fibres seem to help it "flow"): https://tec7.ie/product/roof7-roof-repair

Brilliant, took your advice and got the Tec 7 Roof stuff. Just applied it now to the joins on the overlaps. Hopefully that'll sort it out. Thanks for the help

Hey During the rain last Thursday I got into my roof after noticing some water stains inside the house and found that there were a lot of roof leaks all over the inside of my roof. I got a roofer out to give me a idea of what's going on as I couldn't see any cracks myself and he told me the leaks are being caused by the tile clips. Apparently the clips can get a build up of crap and cause the water to flow back into the roof and over a period of time, cause issues as it's a dripping effect. I was recommended that I should get all my roof clips replaced with the new type that doesn't have this issue. What is everyone opinion on this and how much do you think the quotation will come back as? Been told it's a big time consuming job which I can understand it being
