I want to get more info on capping off chimneys on roof and legalities of it.
Only a non working gas fire in main room which was put in for affect and not heat.2 other chimney breasts blocked off.

Mainly thinking of slowing down cold draughts in a 60+ year old house.

What are you looking for exactly?

If the fire places are not being used for an open fire or a stove or gas fire ventilation then you can cap them .
