I am looking at booking a Stena Rosslare - Fishguard crossing. How long should one plan for disembarkation in Fishguard?
It will be at the end of December so I don't imagine the crossing will be too busy.

Never been to Fishguard, but the Stena Vinga's been covering that route for the last couple of weeks (I presume the Europe is drydocked or something - maybe it'll be back next week) and it is a small ferry. So I'd check availability of tickets and book now if you haven't already done so.

Thanks. Stena Europe seems to be back in the booking system from next week.

Had a recent crossing on the Horizon from Cherbourg. Given the rather unpleasant 20 hours (first time I've been seasick), I am thinking we might try the land bridge instead this time.

I am wondering if an 7:00pm Eurotunnel might be feasible with an 11:15am arrival in Fishguard. End of December so I am not expecting much traffic on the roads in England and Wales, and very used to doing 500km without any break except a short toilet stop.

Your talking a 6 hr at best drive across from Fishguard to Dover. And the M25 and M20 will be busy. Thank you Brexit. It's certainly doable but you won't have much if any stop time, if you want to be safe this won't work. Do an 8.30 Eurotunnel. Have a break after the M25.

We go that route every summer, never waited more than ten or fifteen minutes to get off. You shouldn't be hanging around at all hopefully.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.
