Glow plugs and loose ignition barrel

Just wonder got 4 glow plugs replaced in a duster. Bosch make . Around 12 Sterling on Amazon each.
Say 15 here that’s 60 , charged 150 to have them replaced. Just wondered is that a reasonable price all done. No issues in replacing I’m told.
Thought it might have been a little less.
Mechanic reputable. Not main dealer . Appreciate view (S).
    Secondly:
The ignition barrel is loose. It means sometimes I don’t get the audible warning , notifying me lights on. Lately when I click the car to lock it , the hazard lights don’t activate, as they used to. I held the barrel in place one day and there is no issues,
Mechanic tells me it’s going to very expensive to fix the screw that’s causing the issue as he would have to “ drop” the casing etc etc . Leaving it be.
    Car 8 years old.
I asked him if I put a bit of mastic/ glue around the plastic where key goes in wound that work to keep it in place , he said do big do that as if glue gets into the “ pins” serious issue then .
Is there anything I could do as a homemade job to keep the ignition barrel from being loose.
    Thanks
    Paddy

I think you are asking if 150 is a lot for glow plugs replacement?
It is high but it could take a lot of time to get the old ones out.

A loose barrel needs to be fixed properly as glue etc will not be enough to hold the barrel when you twist the key over and over.

Yes thanks I thought it was a bit dear 155 gave me fiver off !!!! He says loose barrell can be left as is, too expensive to do , “ it’s grand “ he says.
Think I’ll change next year I think it was 140 or more to change battery month ago , I’m leaving lights on occasionally as the loose barrel is interfering with the audible warning to remind me !
