Tesco selection box

    Howdy do, folks.

Not sure if this really qualifies as a bargain alert or not, but from my very loose understanding of the situation, if you click and collect your shopping with these this week or next, they'll throw a 'selection box' of sorts at you.

I ordered shopping, which I collected today, and the delivery driver put it in with my shopping. When I queried it, he just laughed and said 'there's one for everyone in the audience'.

It's effectively a Merry Christmas box, with about €6-7 worth of stuff. It had a 5 pack of starbucks coffee, a pack of Doritos, a chocolate bar and a Schweppes Tonic Water can.

As I say, might be of no use whatsoever, and it could be given away in-store too (wasn't inside the store), but it was just given to me at Click and Collect so I presume it's also given to people who order for home delivery also (but can't be sure).

I have another click and collect order tomorrow, myself. I am curious if they will give it again.

They do these types of give aways all year round. Not just for Xmas. It's random who they give it to apparently.

I'm the op (person that got the box) and on my second click and collect this week, i wasn't given one. Both times I spent similar amounts, so I'm not sure if it's just a case of them being put in random vans for random deliveries/collections, or if they were just a one-off and I got lucky.

I didn't get one with my click and collect but did on my delivery.

Got two with my delivery. Not much to write home about.

Never got one of these either but my shops are usually around the €50 mark and full of own brand!
