    I ordered an Eir modem which will connect to Land line but not fibre .Will this run faster than my current mobile broadband device?

    There is not enough information to tell you anything.
    Do you have broadband over a phone socket or do you have two boxes screwed to the wall with lights flashing and a fibre optic cable coming to your house?

    Sorry no we don't have fibre cable coming to house just Modem connected to phone socket.

    Still unanswerable. Mobile is totally location dependent as is xDSL.
