    Hi.

Was looking at the cambridge audio range of amps with built in radio.

Can you advise feedback on this range and if you would recommend these or an alternative.

Based in dublin and like the mods with DAB also.

Hooking up a turntable and want to stream also if possible.

I've a set of q audio bookshelf speakers. Currently running on an old rotel amp that's running a bit hot a hummy at times. Needs an upgrade.

    Thanks

    Eoin

    Hi Eoinf.

    Thanks for the post.

Cambridge make some very good products and their higher CXA range has won several awards.

They don't have a unit that will do all that you want in one product.
They have the AXR100D which is a stereo amp with built in DAB. It has no streaming features and no pre amp for a turntable (Depending on the turntable you have it may not be required).

If you wanted a decent unit that is packed with features then check out the Yamaha RN602 coming in at £389

Doesn't have DAB but you can access most of these stations via the onboard internet radio.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Are you sure about the preamp on the CA units?

    Hey Eoinf.

I stand corrected on the AXA100. It has the preamp on board.

The higher CXA range does not and the lower AXA25 also does not.

Do you have stock xrd85d or 100d?

Would these be a better unit than the Yamaha? Anything else comparable.

Pre reqs stereo amp with phono stage and radio. Dab a bonus.

If ordered today when would it get to dublin ?

    Thanks.

    Hi Eoinf.

The 85 is out of stock but the 100 is in stock.

It hard to beat the Yamaha RN602 to be honest due to its features and it also products great audio quality.

If ordered today it should arrive Friday or Monday at the very latest.
