What is the best syringe out there. I find the plastic ones very prone to breaking at point where the neddle is affixed.

The disposable plastic ones can be weak at the bottom where the needle attaches, but generally they're fine with careful use. For injecting into the muscle, the best thing is to pull off the needle and insert it into the animal. Then reattach the syringe and inject. This is especially important when injecting into the hind quarter where the needle needs a good force to get it in.
