    Hi guys,
Does anyone know if an abs and a traction control warning light on a VW golf will prevent it from passing the CVRT first time?
And if not, will the vehicle require a retest after diagnosis of the fault?
The light only comes on after the van reaches a certain speed. Is the vehicle put in motion during the test?

What's the certain speed,or is it a secret?
Make sure you haven't an odd size tyre on it somewhere.

Van probably needs a new ABS sensor cable. Your local indy garage with car diagnostic tool will tell you within seconds which wheel.
Would guess a new cable supplied & fitted should be under €100
Better replace it before test and save the cost of re test....assuming everything else is OK

It should be anyway, but if the light doesn't come on untill 100k they mightn't see it. Hence my question about the speed.:o

The light comes on at 55 kilometres/hr. I suspect that it's a rear wheel sensor as this is a common occurrence with these vans. Do you know if the vehicle rear wheels will be in motion? It's a front wheel drive BTW.

Rear wheels will be in motion but not at that speed. The fault could well occur during test though as the car/van will be on rollers for the brake test.

Thanks; anyone know what speeds are applied on the brake testing?

I think about 30km/h but open to correction
