Or did you ever have this delusion yourself?

Like say, some fella from outside Mullingar who wanted to be a bee.

Micheál Martin aspired to be a nodding donkey, and was successful.

If you've seen Wild Mountain Thyme, you'll understand why I'm asking this question.
Like if you've seen the film, you'll understand why I am thinking this, and wondering, "Is this something Americans think is common in Ireland?"

My daughter wanted to be reindeer at one stage, but in her defense she was only about 3 at the time. Apart from that no, although i do know a few weasels and rats.

I worked with an American who was into that whole "furry" subculture, and dressed up as a kind of cartoon wolf.

I have a feeling we're not too far off people declaring themselves as badgers or squirrels or such like.

Lobster was another film, though they didn't want to be animals so maybe not a good example.

I want to be a cat. A big fat lazy cat. Sleep all day while my owner feeds me and go out to work. That would be the life.
