Having a problem with Gmail

Hi, today I'm having a problem with logging into my Gmail account. I try to log in on my laptop and I just get the message, "Sorry, something went wrong there. Try again.".

I've also tried to log in on my phone and it tells me that "an io error occurred".

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks.

Gmail, google drive, YouTube and possibly others are down at the moment

It wasn't just their free apps. access to consoles for their hyperscaler was down and it wasn't just access from plain internet

See news reports from 8-10 hours ago with various US government agencies warning about the problem with Solarwinds and advising to shut it down.
