Seems to be affecting a lot of Google services globally.

I've seen Youtube going down for short periods before. First time I can remember hearing of YT and Gmail going down simultaneously, which is suggestive of something more serious. Hopefully it's not, but time will tell.

They both run in containers on Google's cloud. Likely just an issue with the cloud servers.

Would you say it's time for our viewers to crack each other's heads open and feast on the goo inside?

    Seems to be account/logon related.
Services like YouTube work under incognito mode.

And there I was just getting ready to watch a grown man build Lego.

I havent been able to sign into my Google account since yesterday, which means I cant access gmail or sign into Youtube and all other Google apps. I spent an hour this morning trying to access my Google account and eventually, after requesting a code to my secondary email address, I got a message that I never saw before. 'Please check your secondary account again in 120 hours. Google needs to ensure that this account is yours'

Part of the benefits of cloud servers is redundancy and being able to roll onto different nodes if there is outage elsewhere. This shouldn't really happen globally if they hit an issue with a datacentre.

It's related to accounts and logins. Something serious definitely up though.

Knew this was going to happen.

As part of the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine, Google is updating its servers in preparation for the mass integration of nanobots into our bodies (they are in the vaccine itself). These nanobots will be able to "Google" our brains to retrieve information on a level not seen before, thus providing in-depth knowledge and thoughts from billions of people that will then be harvested to solve computational problems that will enable inter-dimensional space tunnels to be created.

Have they tried turning it off and on again?

The day is here. They've finally hacked Google and now all you pervs and your deviant Japanese scat porn habits will be known by your family and friends. Yes, even Susie from accounts who you were mustering up the courage to ask out this week will know.

Both my Youtube and gmail accounts are all working fine. Multiple account logins. No issues. Some slowdown this morning for youtube, but it's been fine all morning.

Had this issue myself this morning, though it was a bit odd but it seems at the minor side. Last week had a similar odd occurrence on my G mail account. Hopefully, it's not going to turn in to a major issue. I will not jump to a conclusion as to what's behind it just yet.

Solarwinds is trending, I wonder did Google have to take their stuff down to clear their software, big coincidence otherwise
