I've fully comp with Aviva and policy says I can drive another car with owners permission.

Girlfriends insurance is also fully comp, but I'm not named.

On Xmas day she wants to have few drinks, can I drive her car home for her?

Yes under your driving other cars extension if you have it. There are limits usually such as not more than 2.5L engine.

It may be only third party cover you'll have to check that as well.
