Just a heads up to those waiting.

    I got mine yesterday.
(booked Jan, due to travel March, cancelled by airline March)

Thanks for that. I was due to travel in first week of April and nothing yet.

I applied a few weeks ago in respect of a Lanzarote flight I booked in October for early Feb 2021 and which they cancelled for no apparent reason.

So the voucher I (eventually) get should be good for travel in 2022 :(

I asked for a voucher (essentially a credit note) on the assumption that I would get that much faster than a full refund. Which I was fully entitled to claim.

Anyone else still waiting on their voucher still?

I booked in December 2019 for flights Apr 2020. I opted for the voucher thinking I’d like to help AerLingus as best I can.

Ive been patient and called 3 times only to be told it’s on the way and that’s all they can tell me. Still nothing.

    What’s going on!!!

Best solution is to wait to the last minute and see what Aer Lingus do

    So the day before decide
    1. Opt for the voucher
    2. Flight has been cancelled (either the outbound or return) get the cash refund in full.

I've got cash refunds on all my flights as i didn't fall for the get a voucher line or change without fee. It was cheaper to book a new flight and get the refund than change as the price of the new flight was a fraction of what was paid initially

Why the hurry, you're not going to be travelling anywhere soon. Maybe help them by being a little more patient.

What hurry? It’s been nearly a year. I am being more patient, it’s a question to see how others are getting on

I asked Aer Lingus earlier if there was any sign of my voucher that I've been waiting almost a year for. Flight was 20th March 2020. Gave them all the booking details again.
What was their response? To tell me that NO vouchers were issued for flights before the 21st March 2020. I had to laugh.

I asked why I received an email offering me a rebooking or a voucher +10% on the 18th March? They then tell me that it was automated.
I ask what difference would automation make and why would they try and dupe a customer with options that were not applicable?
Basically they just replied with a f**k off, no voucher for you
