    Yes. It's estimated but normally correct.

    And it seems that if it’s overestimated you eventually get a refund. Over the last few months I have received a number of refunds on import fees deposits from Amazon US paid back on to my Revolut card. Usually just a few cents but in some cases a few dollars, which has accumulated to almost $50 (I bought a lot last year!)

    Does the Amazon US estimated duties also include VAT and other charges besides customs? If it's showing an accurate 'landed cost' Amazon.com would seem to be a more attractive proposition than the UK site. Lot of things seem to be far cheaper there even after shipping/customs charges applied.

    Correct - no additional monies are payable and you will get the occasional refund.

    I still prefer the old system where you took your chances and a lot of the time - outside of November & December - it worked out ok.
