Do you need to bring an original birth cert or is a photocopy fine to a Public Services Card appointment ?

I don't recall needing a birth cert, just passport or Driving licence, however, link below on what's required

I had ID with me, but the person I dealt with was able to call up my Birth Cert on the screen.

I wouldn't bring a photocopy of anything. Anyone can scan an original document, doctor it using Photoshop or similar and when you print it, you'll have what looks like a photocopy of a genuine document. So a photocopy is not worth the paper it's printed on.
