PVCU Front Door handle issue

We have been having issues with our front door handle being loose over past couple of weeks. Its a upvc door. I measured the existing handles and ordered the following replacement

The handles came today and I went about trying to fit. On initial line up, everything looks okay but the top screw joint in the handle does not fit flush with the door. The picture attached shows the hole where the handle should fit. The little circular steel piece is blocking it. Is it possible to remove this so the handle will fit? The bottom screw fits perfectly as does the lock. Hope the above makes sense and someone can help me out. Probably an obvious answer but I am no expert. Thanks again

Got sorted, ignore this queston all. the local locksmith filed down the screw holder on handle to match and all fits now.
