Hi, we recently oiled our floor with hard wax oil, but me, idiotly thinking that it was dry, stepped on it with my shoes on. Now there are a couple of footprints that I cannot remove. Any ideas?

Maybe others have better answers, but I've found hard wax oil really difficult to work with.
Last issue I had, I ended up having to sand a lot of it off, and add another layer of oil.
But that was on birch, and the grain surface I wanted at the end was really smooth anyway.
