How long does it take before FTTH becomes orderable?

    According to some neighbour our estate is to be FTTH enabled shortly and I can see evidence of the same. They were digging up at a manhole cover and i can see fibre cables dangling from telephone poles.

    Are we talking weeks/months before my address is "live" would be interested to know experiences as would be coming up to end of contract soon and some of the FTTH packages intro offers seem good.

    Same here. Seems to be a big rollout going on in Cork City in several exchange areas at the moment.

    Microducts are going in underground and appearing on poles.
