Cracked Double Glazing

I've just noticed one of the internal panes in one of our bedroom windows has cracked.

I'm guessing it happened in the last couple of days - with the particularly cold weather (I'm pretty sure I would have noticed it before now if it was there any length of time).

The house is new - we moved in about 18 months ago. I'm just wondering is this "just one of those things" - i.e. a problem that I have to deal with myself - or should I be getting in touch with the builder (who happens to still be on site).

Check your warranty docs. for the windows, I'd imagine they are still under warranty.
Cold weather shouldn't be causing that unless there was some sort of inherent defect.

If you had bought the windows yourself 18 months ago to fit to a second hand house would you chalk it down to "just one of those things" ? You've paid for brand new windows ...which should not be cracking after a short amount of time... (unless someone within the household damaged them). Check your paperwork, failing that speak to the developer about going back to the supplier.
