Investigative Journalism is as good as dead.

So many nails in it's coffin that it isn't even funny.

John Mooney seems to be able to get very detailed information about what the Gardai and Gsoc are doing. The media organisation he works for has a history in the UK of paying for information from those who should not be giving it.

I've only ever read Phil Mac Giolla Bhain' reporting on Glasgow Rangers. I'm not familiar with any of his other work.

    Barry Egan.

    :D:D:D:D:D:D

    Better title would be:

Name a journalist who is not "award winning"

Norma Costello did a lot of decent work tracking down Irish ISIS members. They probably wouldn't have pinned down Lisa Smith without her. Or at least the government could have brought her back on the quiet.

She also go's far against the MSM/NGO narrative about a lot of the camps being refugee camps. They are ISIS detainee camps. The women in these camps were a part of the system.

Smith is before the courts on charges including ISIS membership, which she denies. Until the case is concluded it would not be wise to assume that she will be found guilty.

No one wants to pay for journalism these days, so they can't really complain when all they get is fluff pieces, opinions about things designed to cause outrage, and articles created from rehashed press releases.

The lads over on the Currency are doing fine work. Not sure I'd get enough value out of it to pay €200 per year, but I'm not the target market.

All their income stems from ads.g.doubleclick.net these days

Means the almighty Goog is immune from criticism. Not a good situation to be in
