Any recommendations or opinions on the sunglasses?

They are only a fiver, not much to lose if they turn out to be crap

Same here, was shocked the next day delivery they promised actually happened. Not like I was in a rush for sunglasses anyway :D

Any details on them, or are they what you'd get in a euro shop for a euro anyway??

No specs on them would make me wary enough, have they any uv protection? Polarized (I suspect not)?

Not to pi55 on anyone's chips, but cheap tat sunglasses ate cheap tat sunglasses, even if they are proportedly reduced in price. Can do more harm than good at times.

Would like to know myself about that quality, as am considering buying a few for stocking fillers. However, zooming in on the wraparound Sports type it says EN ISO 12312-1:2013 (Cat 3) which is the safe standard for proper UV protection etc. Don't know if I'd spend a week in the Alps in them, but that's not likely these days anyhow!

The sticker on them says 100% UV protection and that they are anti glare. The brand is Newport. Also my label says they were on sale for 30 then reduced to 18 and now to 5. By touch they are a cut above what you'd get in Dealz. Wasnt expecting anything special so they are worth the fiver imo.

A handful of ****e for a fiver would be better value.

I'm quite happy with the pair I got for 5euro. Way over the top Sam!

My order delivered by UPS with tracking.

Ordered at 7am yesterday, got confirmation email but no sign of them yet and no dispatch email.
Did everyone get a dispatch notification?
The sunglasses I ordered are still in stock at that link.

If you're into that sort of thing maybe, but most of us are normal and would prefer a pair of sunglasses.

Got mine very quick also. Definitely better quality than I expected. They are also way bigger than I expected. Might not even wear them but got €5 they are excellent value.

They are handy if you are going somewhere that you may lose them and don't care.

If you want top quality with excellent UV protection, clarity etc... You shouldn't really be looking at €5 sunglasses in the first place.

Delivery has tracking on the dispatch email and it says ups and a night line van driver chucked mine at the door, same company just different name
Sending glasses in a plastic bag with no box or bubble wrap is madness

That's strange, mine arrived in a bubble wrap envelope in a normal plastic courier bag

Got a pair of the wrap around sunglasses and an official munster backpack by Adidas for €15 including 2 day delivery by ups.
    Excellent value imho.
    Thanks op.

Only thing I can fault is the tracking number I received was showing up as being delivered in florida in 2016...

Mine arrived the day after I ordered in a cardboard box inside a mailing bag.

It was delivered by a Nightline driver in a taxi.

Ordered yesterday evening and despatched last night. Tracking this morning said would be delivered by close of play tomorrow (and still does)...they were delivered a few minutes ago!!!

Very pleased for €5 a pair delivered. Thanks OP.

    Anyone's glasses still "working"? :D

Mine fell apart after being worn 2 times... Life Style Sports support email non-responsive after 2 weeks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 741 ✭✭✭poitinstill

in a drawer till summer :)
probably will have disintegrated by then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,079 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

I submitted a PayPal claim at 4:50pm today and got a refund of €5 at 5:15pm despite not a single response from Life Style for over two weeks via email (they did email me once 2 weeks ago asking for pics, but nothing after I sent them on)

    System works I guess!

Now to buy another pair of €1.50 Aldi glasses that actually DO last ;)

Sorry to bring up an old thread but the frame on the 2 pairs of sunglasses I purchased have started to break.
One pair was in a drawer and not used.

    Has anyone experienced the same?
