    hey guys i,ve been boiling rice and putting them in the feeders and the wee birds love it,am boiling brown rice.is this ok?

    also feed them dry porridge oats and natural bird seed from the shop.

    any other idea,s on home made bird feed?.

    Apples and pears! You can soak sultanas and raisins too.

    Never give anything with added salt or anything with mould, are the two rules to be aware of!

    crows and jack daws are great for taking stale bread,boiled skins from potatoes.the really are very clever birds.
    the will not take non boiled skins lol

    Grated cheese is a big hit with robins,they will come into the house looking for it.
