One of tap bases have worn through the chrome at the back if it, otherwise it's perfect. Is there a paint I can get or any suggestions other than replacing?

https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=tap+base+ring but obvious needs a bit of plumbing work to fit. The Amazon link is just to show you that the base rings are available separately.

Nice man!!! Thanks. I actually have 2 where this has happened in the same place, not sure why it happens, maybe it just doesn't always get dried back there.

Looking at the wide measurement of 50mm it seems standard and matches mine

€11 for 2, searching the b & q site I could not find them, where else would I get them?

I have a plumber coming next week for another job. It looks like he's have to remove the taps to get this on, a bit of work for a small job!

Update: I went into B & Q and they had none

I think I just hit lucky with that Amazon link. I new they existed so just did an Amazon search but like you I can't find them anywhere else.

Plenty if you google for tap base ring 50mm but so far can only see UK sites with them. Try also tap base plinth 50mm and Chrome tap Base Plate.

Just a thought if the plumber is going to remove any taps. Ask him if he minds putting in isolating valves like these https://www.woodies.ie/bathroom-plumbing/plumbing/valves-immersion-fittings/plumbing-valve-1-2-isolation-valve-screwdriver-operated-336235, you may have them already. The advantage is that you can then turn the water off to the tap and change the fitting, replace washers etc without having to turn the water off to the whole house.
