Was putting down a gate in corner of machinery shed rather than build block wall. Idea is to hang it from a post that is removable if ever needed. Was going to fit it into a bigger pipe that I put down in concrete floor.
Any idea of best way to drill hole? Good thick concrete floor.
Will I need a kango or sds drill do?

A diamond core drill would leave a neat round hole whatever size you require. Most hire shops will do them

A core drill if you want to remove a section big enough to drop the post into or a kango if you dont mind about it being neat.
Just bolting the post to the floor would be an option too. A post with a 300 x 300 base plate and a bolt at each corner would hold a fair gate. Would mean easy drilling of floor with sds drill.
