Under floor heating and screed

What is peoples experience with dry screed and under floor heating? The manufacturer told me either or is fine and the dry screed is certainly more cost effective. But what is other peoples experience?

not sure why you would describe its as a "dry" screed?

usual choices are a 75mm concrete screed

or a thinner screed made up of sand and plaster of paris, which can self level

I've always heard it referred to as dry screed and when we used to use it for laying paving slabs we always ordered it as dry screed as opposed to flow screed.

the usual screed that comes for UFH is still a "flow" screed as described in that link above, its usually pumped but it does require some spread and levelling (screeding off)

the self levelling screed is much more 'liquid' and does not require screeding off
