    Thanks

    You don’t get granted a section 5.
There seems to be a lot of confusion on here over the last few days on what a Section 5 application is.

How bad is the fire damaged roof?
You most likely have an engineer on board yes?
That engineer can offer an opinion on whether it’s exempt or not and issue cert on same.

Again, you don't get Refused a Section 5.

A Section 5 application is simply you asking the Council if the works as described require Planning Permission. Its a yes or no answer.

Who is looking after the roof design for you, if any?
What cant they answer this question?

A sc5 is either declared exempt or not exempt. Do you or anyone else have any planning examples of either of these for a house that needs a new roof after fire damage?
