Howdy folks. Anyone know of a decent Skoda specialist in Dublin?

Radio/Navigation unit on my 151 Skoda has suddenly stopped working. The buttons around the unit light up and then go dark again every few seconds. Plus I can hear the CD spinning but nothing appears on screen. Battery issue ruled out, and hoping to avoid a dealer bill. Would appreciate any tips.

CD player so I'm assuming Superb II?

    Try asking here:

The first thing I would do is remove the unit plug it out for a few mins and then plug it back in and maybe hope that forces it to reboot correctly failing that ur looking at a vag specialist or someone that is well up on odis diagnostics

Not sure if it's the same on skoda, but on vw you press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds to reboot the unit, worth a try.

There's a software glitch that causes this. The unit needs an update. It's a popular issue. It may chose to come back of it's own accord but seems to be once it begins it keeps on happening.

Once you can hear the 5F unit in the glovebox working you are doing ok. They can die too which is pricey but much less common.
