    Ive a 91 pajero mk 2. It's 2.5 automatic.
It was getting hot and boiling, with the guage going right up.
The thermostat is fine. Fan is fine.
The intercooler pipes were collapsing inwards, so I opened one clamp and pulled off the hose a bit. It didn't boil this time.
Are the two connected somehow? I can't figure It out.

After seeing your other post about being nearly vintage I was going to congratulate you! My LC is a few years to go yet.

Is your water pump knackered? Also do you still have the heater inside working? Sounds like a simple blockage, hopefully nothing more serious than that.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Water pump seems of as it's pumping around and all the pipes are getting hot.
    Heater inside works fine.

Intercooler pipes collapsing is a sign of a restricted air intake. Can't see why it should make it overheat but it's possible.
