    Hello,

Took off the rear bump bar / stiffener last week to paint it as per the picture below.
Have it primed now but was thinking of filling the internals of if with expanding foam in an effort to stop water ingress into it.
    Crazy idea or worthwhile?
    Has anyone ever done it?

Crazy idea. It will promote moisture retention and rust.

I’d certainly look at blasting and repainting it though.

God no, foam and bodywork do not mix. I'd consider giving that rear valence and brackets a good clean up and a lick of paint while you're there. It's starting to look a bit scabby, now is the time to save it.
