Best sounding tv

I was wondering if someone could recommend a tv for me.
I have a Panasonic that I bought a few years ago but the picture isn’t great and the sound is worse. I use a canton soundbar and its a great soundbar but there is a delay from the Apple TV content to the tv and finally to the sound bar so the sound is delayed.
For this reason, I’d like to get a tv that has a way of dealing with sound in a way there’s no delays. I’m willing to update the whole system to get the best picture/sound quality.
I was thinking of getting an LG tv because they’re supposed to be the best nowadays but I need to be sure I can connect a good sound blaster to it without the issues I’m facing now.

if bluetooth is being used if both devices can use low latency audio codecs like aptx then that should sort that out (would be on more modern tvs and soundbars)

otherwise use a wired connection if possible e.g. toslink optical fibre

Hi I’ve got a toslink connecting the tv to the sound bar. I think the delay is happening because the Apple TV is connected to the tv through hdmi.

you could try setting the sync on audio - look into settings menus

or this?

Thanks I tried that but there’s still a delay in the sound... I really think I must get a new tv... I just wanted a really good one this time. We had an old Panasonic, that I got over 10 years ago, which is still working and it has very good picture because it’s plasma - the newer one is not plasma and the colour on it is dreadful. The issue with the old plasma one is that it only has a usb entry.

No, you have to connect it to the tv because the sound bar doesn’t have hdmi and even if you could then what about the picture?

My one has multiple HDMI inputs and one HDMI out but I guess they differ.

maybe a new sound bar would suffice then?

can you split the hdmi signal from the apple tv and pass one to the tv and one to the sound bar?

anyways, the rtings site is very good for comprehensive tv reviews and recommendations

although the model numbers may be American so may need to find the equivalent in Europe

Thanks for all the advice. I just have one question re splitting the hdmi from the Apple TV - I did not know that was possible... are there hdmi splitters? I never saw any...
anyway, I actually couldn’t use one because the soundbar does not work with hdmi but it does have Bluetooth - I’m just waiting to replace the battery on the remote so I can check the Bluetooth connection and if I can easily connect to the sound bar then the issue might be sorted... we’ll see...

Oh, yes, I know what you mean. I tried a few some years back but the quality was crap. I’ll try this new one on my old Panasonic to see if it works better now.
