Sole Trader Advice

Good afternoon

I have moved to Ireland and I have the possibility of some work. It would mean I need to invoice a company for my time. Do I need to setup a 'Sole Trader' company to do this? I am still waiting for my PPS number (long story) so I imagine I will need this to setup a company?

Any advice gratefully recived.

The company you are doing work for may have specific requirements though
e.g. to be registered as a company or registered for VAT.
