Just wondering has anyone moved from a permanent grade 3 to specified purpose grade 4 or 5 in a different department? What happens when that contract comes to an end? Are you out of a job or do you get your old permanent role back? Anyone know where I could find information about this?

You retain your permanent post, and provided your SPC doesnt resolve into a permanent promotion, you revert back to your substantive grade 3 once the SPC concludes.
