I'm setting up lights in a newly built garage. I running a temporary power supply to the garage to power the lights. This will be plugged In to a indoor socket.

Should I have a spur between the socket and the light switch or can I wire direct to the switch.

FYI, this is just a temporary set up till after xmas.
