Apartment "box"

    Could someone tell me what the white box to the right of my picture is? I have moved into a new apartment and cannot figure it out, nor get it open.

    It is not the electricity meter as that is on the side of the apartment and there is no gas in the estate.

    Purely out of curiosity more than anything :D

    Very hard to tell from the picture but it's more than likely a service pillar for the communal street lighting/CCTV/keypad on gate etc.

    You shouldn't be able to open it. I have enough trouble opening them and I'm supposed to be able to!! Locks often jam up/hinges rust on them unless they're all plastic construction.
