You have sufficient setup capital, including the rich guy helicopter to land in the studio just like some personalities in rte back in the day.

Take channel 4 as a template.

What sport would you go after? What current affairs & personalities?

Would it have a lot of Spitting Image? Would you buy a some cheap cartoons made in the Eastern Bloc? How many rerun series would you buy?

I would not have many personalities as this would be very expensive.

I would put in Kojak. as a copshow.

    Fire away

    Moonlighting was for romance too!

    I'd definitely ban Glenroe though.

I forgot to state that BOSCO would be regarded in the same vein as an Eastern Bloc puppet : in fact there was one from Russia and he was quite good actually:he even appeared from space with some cosmonauts.

I would have a dour retro Irish channel.

Morning schedule would be Anything Goes, Pajo's Junkbox, Wanderley Wagon and Fortycoats and Co followed by Angelus and Mass from selected churches throughout the country.

Afternoon would be The Sullivans followed by Bosco, Live at 3 with Derek Davis and a Government announcement by Charlie Haughey. Garda Patrol, The Angelus and news would follow.

Evenings would be Tolka Row, The Riordans, Bracken and Glenroe followed by The News, Today Tonight and A Prayer at Bedtime before The National Anthem and shutdown until 9am the next morning.
